The Kimberley Arts Network and Shire of Broome are excited to showcase the styles, stories and talent of our northern artists; from Broome to Balgo.
The launch of art above the 26th is 5 – 7pm on Monday 14th August at Broome Civic Centre. It’s a celebratory event and everyone is invited; meet the artists and enjoy music from Adele Oliver and have a glass of bubbles. Most works are for sale.
The Kimberley Arts Network and the Broome Civic Centre are hosting the annual art above the 26th exhibition for the third year running. It is an exhibition of established artists who live and work above the 26th parallel; the geographic “North”. While the latitude line defines the edge of ‘the north’ it also comes with a certain attitude; a creative and adventurous grit that has its own character and vernacular. art above the 26th explores the landscapes, heritage, culture and light of the north.
