Biographies
Lachie Carracher
brings a grounded, outcome-based approach to his position as
Operations Manager for the Climate Adaptation Project with the Nulungu
Research Institute. Wild Rivers curated his life internationally before moving to
the Kimberley; Canada, Uganda, Nepal, China, Sumatra, Laos, Colombia, and
Switzerland. This unique life experience allows him to have a valuable depth of
knowledge with respect to the conservation and management of the waterways
which he brings to the West Kimberley and specifically the Martuwarra Fitzroy
River. Lachie is an award wining, solo exhibiting photographer with themes once
again focused on Rivers. Previously the Australian Geographic Young Adventurer
of the year and more recently LWH was awarded Western Australia's Heritage
Councils best interpretive project for 2024.

Sven Ouzman is an archaeologist, heritage specialist and activist at the
Archaeology Discipline and Centre for Rock Art Research + Management at
UWA’s School of Social Sciences . He studies the forgotten worlds beneath our
feet and all around us. He has worked in northern Australia since 1996 with
Aboriginal Rangers, Elders and Youth to find, record, date and make known
partners to date and interpret the archaeology and rock art of Australia’s
Kimberley . This work also involves outreach to schools, advising on things like
impacts of mining and changing heritage legislation. He also works with
Aboriginal partners on the Archaeology of Boorloo (Perth); and on southern
African archaeology and heritage such as identifying African objects in
Australian museums and vice versa, the role of fire in heritage management,
Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property, graffiti, and homelessness.
